ATLANTIC CITY — Seven members of the city's Police Department were promoted to the rank of sergeant last week.
The promotions came Friday, the day after more than 50 officers retired. The move was meant to fill several of the leadership vacancies.
Mayor Bob Levy swore in the officers, with Chief John Mooney in attendance.
The new sergeants are William Allen, James Sarkos, Andrew Leonard, David Madamba, Robert Campbell, Vincent DeMaria and Rudy Lushina.
